The RLA sound system has been recreated to make you feel the music.

As you'll recall, we rebuilt the Richard Long system from the 1970s at the Paradise Garage for Frickelfest 2025. The project comprises 900 square feet of plywood and delicious vintage JBL equipment. With a height of 10 feet and a width of 8 feet, it represents the limits of what can be achieved in my workshop.

After making all the necessary improvements to the reinforcing and connecting devices, I put it back together with the help of an indoor crane.

Installing the four square feet of bass membrane took me one evening.

The so-called Bertha was brought back to life with a simple activation.

This is BASS!

Highly vivid bass.

OK, what's next? Optimising the Waldorf Horn because it's just been too boomy.

And, of course, there's plenty of listening and bathing in sound.
