Precious Precision

Reduced to a minimum and realised with materials of the highest quality. Or: How would Mies van der Rohe have built a vinyl stand?

Like his drinking hall, the stand is only intended for a short stay and contains a maximum of three records that are currently being played.

The customer wanted walnut. As I was at my favourite timber merchant the other day, I brought some beautiful wood in 82 mm thickness. This is not only valuable but also impossible to lift alone.

The wonderful grain only comes into its own after treatment with hard wax.

Thanks to its simplicity, the stand also works excellently for CDs. So I was able to use the small section with the knothole for the digital records.
