Poincaré 36 - Haute Couture

The customer is the best teacher. This time, a stunning design has been created using the latest Poincaré 36 development.

The client and current owner of Poincaré 36 certainly has good taste. When a bottle of wine was delivered unexpectedly one day, it turned out to be the best wine I have ever tasted. I have never found anything as good in the United States, even for well over $ 100.

But back to the loudspeaker. The customer came up with the idea for the veneer and the arrangement of the cut edges, like Devon Turnbulls Don Julio OJAS speaker and the cover.

In German: Aller Anfang ist schwer. In this case, 80 kg. The 30 mm beech multiplex is 25 cm wider than the standard panel.

All the panels are veneered with European walnut, and the substrate is beech as this matches the colour of the walnut better than birch.

The final optimisation measures for the Poincaré 36 were carried out during construction.

As a result, the waveguide tweeter has been given a separate housing and dampers have been used to decouple it from the cabinet's körperschall.

After several iterations, we finished measuring the phase plugs with Buzzi and manufactured several of them. We should now have enough stock for the next models. Our goal is to always be able to use the visually appropriate waveguide for every veneer and taste.

The surface is then sanded down finely and sealed with hard wax oil.

The highlight of this special Poincaré is undoubtedly the front cover. Everything was made to the customer's exact specifications, and the result is outstanding.

I have now fallen in love with Dedar's Amoir Fou fabric myself, and more covers for other speakers will be made from this wonderful material. Despite being opaque, the fabric absorbs surprisingly little sound.

Since the Amoir Fou pattern is unique, the cover can be turned through 180 degrees to suit your preference.

The stands are painted in a high-gloss black finish. This contrasts beautifully with the overall appearance.

It is Haute Couture not only because of the beautiful fabric, but also because every detail is skilfully designed to bring out the best in the other elements.

It's simply a beautiful model. And, of course, it has great inner values, too.
