PURE M#1

Restrain in design or less is more is not easy to realize, but looks damn good.

In this case, it was the persistence of the customer who wanted a very simple and modern Monitor#Eins. A high-gloss finish in RAL 9016 is the key feature of this loudspeaker and my painter had his work cut out to get it right.

The desired uprights could not be painted in one piece, but ‘bi-glueing’ made it possible.

The high-end crossover can still be seen inside before it is later covered with black felt. The cables are also of very high quality and all the findings from the last M#1 have been incorporated, right down to the stiffening between the horn and woofer of the already 24 mm thick baffle.

Everything is clean on the outside, right down to the matching black screws of the high-quality bass reflex tubes. The length of the tubes is adapted to the diameter.

The exterior is of high quality and I even found pole terminals from WBT in matching colours.

Dampers from Orbid Sound decouple the space between the stand and the loudspeaker and also provide a visual highlight.

The customer also wanted multiplex panels for his amplifier and USM shelving. The top has a matching matt grey lacquer finish and the surrounding edge has been polished.

Not only OJAS has recognised that any hi-fi equipment looks extremely good next to the chrome-plated furniture from Switzerland. It's also nice to admire another product from my first working life in the wonderful world of electroplating.

But the Monitor#One also comes into its own in the customer's living room. A wonderful project that took many months to complete, but the customer's persistence paid off.

Very pure, just like the sound of the M#1.

And many thanks for the excellent coffee from the spring lever machine, which will soon also be available in the KLANGRAUM.
